Biography
I am an attorney practicing in the areas of entertainment, intellectual property, and business law. My work is primarily transactional meaning I spend most of my time negotiating contracts and structuring deals. The deals run the gamut from business acquisitions to securities financings to joint venture arrangements.
This blog derives its name from the books I have authored which are listed in the left side bar. This blog will echo the entertainment side of my law practice in which I work with clients developing projects in music, publishing, film, television and new media.
Issues I address for my media clients include business entity formation, guild compliance issues, rights clearance, errors and omissions insurance, private investor financing, and the negotiation of talent, distribution and other contracts. I also help clients license just about everything that can be licensed - international television programming, ringtones, performance rights in a musical, film clips, ecommerce databases, etc.
I am a graduate of Harvard Law School and Harvard College.
